Every six years, St. Francis of Assisi School (SFA) undergoes a comprehensive self-study process, engaging the entire community to assess its strengths and identify areas for improvement. The WCEA accreditation sets a high standard for achievement, guaranteeing that students receive the finest Catholic education available. Over the years, SFA has consistently upheld a reputation for excellence within the Catholic School Community.

The insights from the WCEA Visiting Committee during their latest visit in the Fall of 2022 can be summarized as follows:

St. Francis of Assisi School received high marks and praise! In all areas, our school was found to be an exemplar of a parish school program among the eight-state region governed by the Association. A true testament to the spirit and determination of this entire community.

Among the many notable observations in their report, the eight most significant accomplishments highlighted by the team were:

• Catholic Identity permeates all aspects of the school culture. The spiritual formation of students, faculty, staff, and families is a top priority for the school.
• Relevant, rigorous standards drive daily instruction and ensure student success and personal growth.
• Varied assessments are utilized to measure and analyze growth.
• Qualified classroom aides and a principal with a Special Education license facilitate an inclusive and rigorous learning environment.
• SLEs are the foundation of learning and are regularly referenced and measured.
• Dedicated faculty and staff provide innovative and differentiated approaches to instruction with strong spiritual and academic guidance from the principal.
• A strong collaborative relationship exists among the pastor, principal, staff, parents, and parishioners, focusing on student growth, achievement, and capital improvements.
• Financial resources and grants have been maximized to enhance STREAM and extra-curricular activities.
