Mrs. Mary Van Lom
Bachelor’s of Arts in Math and Science, Oregon Teaching License
with a Math Endorsement
Mrs. Van Lom graduated from Marylhurst University withtwo majors in
Math and in Science; and two minors in Theology and in Elementary
Education. Along with her teaching credentials she has also taken
classes in teaching the handicap learner, reading for understanding,
French, German, Latin, art, and calligraphy from Portland State
University. Mrs. Van Lom has taught the middle school grades for a
total of five years at the following locations: Coos Bay, St.
Mary’s School in Eugene, and at St. Matthew’s in Hillsboro.
In her free time she enjoys reading, quilting, music, gardening, and
volunteer work. She has volunteered at West Union School teaching Art
Literacy and for two years at Centro Cultural, teaching English as a
second language.
